Can you feel all that love? It’s Valentine’s Day! If you are looking for something memorable to do with your sweetie or just have a special evening with friends, here are some great suggestions of places to go. With all of these fabulous deals it’s too bad V-Day is only once a year!
FIG Santa Monica
FIG will be hosting their Second Annual Valentine’s Day “Meat Market” available exclusively from 5:00 – 10:00 PM on February 14th. Back for a second year by popular demand, Chef Ray Garcia’s innovative menu features both “meat” and “market” options, providing a memorable and delicious meal that strays from the ordinary.

WHIST at Viceroy
The beautiful Whist will be serving a 5 course pre-fixe menu available at $85.00 per person with an additional $40.00 per person for the wine tasting if you choose. Their additional highlights for guests includes a complimentary truffle/chocolate tasting station, complimentary champagne taste and the return of the “Scent Tent”, a highlight from last year’s event. Their will be customized take home gift for the ladies and an assortment of aromatherapy oils for guests to choose from customized into an individual sugar scrub. Sounds divine!
WINE EXPO Santa Monica
Wine Expo will have a special Valentines Day Tasting Menus for Lovers. They will be offering two special tasting menus on Valentines Day sure to help inspire your desire for the one you love (or at least lust after), each priced at $50 per person (plus tax and gratuity). You can choose from either the 1) Champagne & Nosh sampler: generous tastes of four serious Champagnes paired with crostini and a mixed meat & cheese plate plus a decadent dessert wine to seal the deal or 2) Red Wine & Chocolate: tastes of four of their most luscious and enticing reds paired with chocolate truffles plus a seriously concentrated red sticky to finish. Reservations highly recommended!
CAFE DEL REY Marina Del Rey
The very scenic Café Del Rey will be romancing diners with Mediterranean inspired dishes served seaside in honor of Valentine’s Day. Guests can enjoy special à la carte selections from Executive Chef Daniel Roberts February 10-12 or indulge in a three-course prix-fixe menu on February 14, complete with aphrodisiac ingredients priced at $65.00 per person, not including tax and gratuity.
Chef Roberts’ menu will showcase Cafe Del Rey’s signature combination of fresh seafood and Mediterranean influences, enhanced by indulgent accents in dishes such as House-Cured Salmon with buckwheat blini, white sturgeon caviar, lemon crème fraîche, and micro chives; and Pan-Seared Scallops with parsnip purée, mustard greens, roasted fingerling potatoes, and vanilla-saffron sauce. The Valentine’s Day menu will be offered from 5:30 p.m.-close.

Whether it’s the romantic city lights of Border Grill Downtown LA, the whispering ocean air of Border Grill Santa Monica, or the wild energy of Border Grill Las Vegas, the bold flavors and famous margaritas are the perfect way to say, “Te amo, I love you.” With everything from Dungeness Crab Cakes with roasted corn relish to Grilled Baseball Steak with cabrales blue cheese grits, crispy mushrooms, and ancho chile sauce their passion-inspired menus are sure to make your Valentine’s Day el Dia del Amor, the day of love.
CHAYA Venice
Please your Palate BIG TIME with the tantalizing Valentine’s Day Menu offered at Chaya Venice! Guests can enjoy a three-course prix-fixe dinner and amorous dishes designed “for two” at Chaya Venice. CHAYA Restaurants invites you to fall in “Love at First Bite” this Valentine’s Day. Acclaimed for its modern Euro-Asian cuisine, the culinary team at Chaya takes inspiration from seasonal ingredients such as truffles, honey, shimeji mushrooms, leeks, almonds, fennel and kumquats to commemorate this special occasion. Angelinos may choose from one of three Valentine’s Day dining experiences at CHAYA Venice. The regular a la carte dinner menu will also be available. Reservations strongly recommended, walk-ins are also welcome.
CASA AZUL CANTINA Westwood
On Valentine’s Day Casa Azul Cantina by FRIDA Restaurant Group heats up the dining room with a sultry menu inspired by the iconic couple, Frida Kahlo and painter Diego Rivera who lived in the original “casa azul” abode in Coyoacán, Mexico. The menu at the newly opened Westwood cantina pays homage to the love of Kahlo and Rivera.
Chef and owner Vicente Del Rio’s festive four-course Valentine’s Day Mexican feast will be $49.95++ per person. Chef Rio showcases regional Mexican techniques and family recipes as well as chilies including serrano and guajillo chili peppers and chipotle sauce. Originating in the mountainous regions of Mexico, the chili peppers commonly used in Del Rio’s vibrant recipes, are inspired by the place in which he grew up.
Casa Azul’s thoughtfully crafted cocktail menu includes fresh and exotic ingredients alike including El Diablo with tequila, Triple Sec, sweet & sour, fresh lime juice, and jalapeño ($10); and Matador Special with fresh muddled cucumber, agave, tequila, triple sec, and fresh lime juice ($10).

LEXINGTON SOCIAL HOUSE Hollywood
For Valentine’s Day Lexington Social House—Hollywood’s quintessential supper club experience—celebrates Valentine’s Day with a special three-course menu ($65 per person, not including tax and gratuity) and a chocolate-covered strawberry-inspired cocktail, offered throughout the evening.
Couples and friends alike can explore Executive Chef Mette Williams’ winter-influenced menu, which showcases her passion for seasonal American fare by highlighting locally grown ingredients, including celery root, tangerines, rutabaga, and persimmons offered within the romantic atmosphere of the restaurant’s intimate dining room or inviting outdoor patio.
To pair, imbibers can sip on Bar Manager Kyle Ackley’s special Valentine’s Day-themed Chocolate-Covered Strawberry cocktail, made with vodka, Licor 43, Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur, fresh strawberries, and fresh lemon, and garnished with chocolate shavings ($14), available exclusively on the holiday. LOCANDA DEL LAGO Santa Monica
Locanda del Lago celebrates the most romantic day of the year with a week-long, February 11-17, prix fixe “Menu di San Valentino,” featuring aphrodisiac ingredients ($55 per person for four courses; $69 per person for five courses; not including tax and gratuity).
Chef Minuz will highlight fresh produce from the nearby Santa Monica Farmers’ Market including romance-inducing artichoke hearts and white asparagus alongside indulgent lobster medallions, sea urchin, and a choice of Pan-Roasted Sturgeon or Cervena® Natural Tender Venison (or both). Optional wine pairings ($24 per person) also available. The “Menu di San Valentino” will be available from 4 p.m. to close.
